How effective are your team members in their roles? What professional development have your team members received this year? Do you have a training need for one or two members of your team?
In addition to the bespoke workshops that can be developed just for you and your hotel, we also offer Open Workshops. The benefit of these is that you can nominate one or two people to attend, thereby making it great value. As well as learning something new in an enjoyable environment away from the distractions of work, there is an opportunity to share thoughts and ideas with people from other businesses.
There are a variety of open workshops available to you that cover all aspects of the Hospitality Industry; from Guest Service and Train the Trainer, to Enquiry Handling and Meetings & Events Revenue Management.
This is a popular workshop covering the complete showround journey; From making the appointment, preparation and planning, collaborating with team members, meet & greet and establishing needs; to the actual showround, touching on negotiation and closing skills, concluding with the follow up to convert.
Your team member will gain the knowledge and skills to confidently plan, prepare and deliver an interesting and informative showround of your venue which is tailored to their client’s needs.
They will also have the opportunity to participate in a ‘Questions & Answers’ session with a Hotel Booking Agent to help understand the needs of an Agent and their client at this crucial stage of the booking.

This is a very basic workshop aimed at giving you a taste of what Revenue Management would mean to your Meetings & Events business.
The key is being able to capture data in a user-friendly way; to get the most out of any external reports available to you (i.e. MIA Touchstone) and to regularly review this information and agree a relevant strategy based on demand and ‘booking trends’.
This workshop will give your team an understanding of how you can simply implement a Revenue Management culture in to your Meetings & Events business by introducing some basic tools, easy to understand reports and some structured disciplines as part of your team’s every day focus.
It is fun and interactive and includes lots of exercises around a ‘virtual’ Meetings and Events office and concludes in a competitive Business Game. Your team will leave confident and focused on what they need to action back in your business.

This is a new take on the original Train the Trainer and is specifically aimed at the Hotel Industry, providing your team with the skills and confidence to deliver effective training in Duty Management, Reception, Food & Beverage, Meetings & Events Sales, Reservations & Revenue Management.
The train the trainer workshop is designed for HODs and those responsible for training in your organisation. Your team member will gain the knowledge and skills to confidently plan and deliver effective training in their work environment.
Training is often used as a reactive solution to better performance rather than a proactive one. This workshop ensures that the training planned is relevant to learner’s job roles and is delivered consistently. All examples and scenarios are linked to the hospitality industry giving the delegates ideas of what, to who and how to deliver training in their current positions.
Day 1 of the workshop concentrates on giving your team member all the tools and knowledge to be able to design their own 10-minute training session which will be assessed on day two.
Day 2 consists of some learning, then the majority of the day involves the delegates delivering their 10-minute session to the rest of the group, receiving feedback and creating an action plan.
